The calculator's regional options use the land-measurement definitions in the Capital Development Authority's 2023 regulations for Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT): 1 Marla = 272.25 square feet and 1 Kanal = 20 Marla = 5,445 square feet. See the official CDA regulations.
Marla and Kanal definitions can differ outside this ICT context. Before using a conversion for a purchase, valuation, construction plan, deed, or other legal document, confirm the recorded area and applicable unit definition with the relevant housing society or local land authority. Listing B is actually about 178 square feet larger than Listing A, even though "0.05 acres" sounds small next to "2,000 square feet" at first glance.
